Atlantic Provinces – Canada Semi Trucks Weights and Dimensions

The Atlantic Provinces in Canada have a unique arrangement where they have all agreed to harmonize regulations between themselves and refer their regulations to a set of guidelines that they follow. The Atlantic Provinces are comprised of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. Their truck weights are fairly standard Canadian weights, with a six axle semi truck and an 8 axle B-Train combination being the workhorses of the region. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick allow Turnpike doubles on some of their primary highways, routings are applied for during the permitting process. The maximum gross weights on B-Trains are 62,500 lbs.
