Illinois has rules that are very much in line with US Federal Regulations. LCVs are not allowed in the state, and most rules are very standard to US rules. Illinois has an unusual semi-trailer wheelbase for those trailers over 48’, of 45’6” Kingpin to Rear Axle distance. Also, tandem axle combinations in Illinois are specified to have at most 20,000 lbs on either individual axle in the tandem.
