Mississippi Truck Weight and Dimension Limits

Mississippi has a few semi truck weight exceptions to note. First, there are longer trailers allowed in twin trailer combinations than are allowed in normal interstate operations, trailers with an overall cargo carrying length of 65’ can be used. Additionally, there are reduced weights for tandem axles on secondary roads in Mississippi. As there are some large ports in the state, there are permits available for sealed containers up to 95,000 lbs.
