Missouri has many small differences in regional areas, but overall, regulations are quite similar to those across the US. There are more liberal dimension and axle weights allowed in Missouri in ‘Commercial Zones’, which are the cities of Columbia, Kansas City, Springfield, St. Joseph and St. Louis. Missouri permits LCVs, but only in a 20 mile distance from the states of Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. There are some increased axle weight allowances on non-interstate highways, for single and tandem axle groups.
